This is an absolutely outstanding film. Both in animation and in story. THis has started a new movement. Animation is not just for kids, its for everyone. and its not a genre. its a medium. I saw it during the Annecy Animation Festival. I really liked the animation, the use of 3D for a 2D rendering, the outstanding backgrounds and the beautiful music. Concerning the story, I was a bit confuse: it's beetwen realism and magic and rather for an adult audience. I'm glad I saw it, it's very different from other long feature animated films.

Actually, Aarop Montiel, the events in this movie take place just before the Bhagavad Gita. I you watch to the end, you'll see the graphic on the screen that explains "A few months later, Arjuna would enter the war in Kurukshetra." This is Mahabharata...but the movie ends just before the Gita events...

Because to you're close minded and apparently absent, general background on modern life is so feral any melodic language of some others' culture is not an identity trait as it would be with any breed of animal.
