Golden Lamb Inn Haunted?

The Golden Lamb Inn in Lebanon, Ohio was the site of my very first "paranormal investigation." On Oct. 9th, 2009, my wife and I spent an entire night in the Harriet Beecher Stowe Room (purported to be the most haunted room in the Inn). Armed with only a digital camera and voice recorder, we captured a few orbs and electronic voice phenomena of a little girl and an adult male.

Just two days before the New Year, I decided to return to the Golden Lamb with new equipment and mindset. Joining me are my brothers as we set out to investigate the haunted claims surrounding this historic landmark. This is what we found.

If you would like to visit the inn, here are some of the haunted claims:

1) A little girl resides in Room #2/Sarah's Room. The name of that little girl is believed to be Sarah Stubbs, possibly Eliza Clay. Also in Room #2, it has been reported that objects were relocated in the morning and pictures were knocked off the wall. *I've never gotten a name during my previous 2 visits nor experienced any poltergeist-like activity.

2) Clement Vallandigham's apparition was seen in the Vallandigham dining room. He was seen walking out of the wall, pacing thoughtfully, and then turned around and walked back into the wall. (Residual?)

3) Reports of relocated silverware and chairs falling down in the dining rooms. Additional reports of being touched on the shoulder from behind. But upon turning around, no one was there. *I was asked not to go in there, so I respectfully did not investigate the dining rooms.

4) Ghost of Charles R. Sherman, who has been seen as a gaunt, gray man in the hallways, died while in the inn. He was 41 years old, leaving his wife and 11 children penniless.

5) A sick vagrant died in the bed of the Horace Mann Room. People have reported waking up to a man standing at the foot of the bed. The room lights and television have been reported to turn on and off by themselves.

6) Unaccounted for cigar smoke has also been reported in this non-smoking inn

Yeah my father used to work at that place a few years back. He said he went down into the cellar to sharped one of his knives then he suddenly got chills really bad and then he felt someone tap on his shoulder and no one was there. He also put it as, "seeing shit get knocked over" every so often.

My mom used to work there. She said sometimes when she would be cleaning the rooms, she would find handprints on the windows.

She also said that once a tray of food flipped over by itself.

I heard a similar story of that happening in Sarah's Display Room on the top floor. I wanted to leave a camera out in front of that glass door but I was afraid someone would run off with it.

I would love to go back for a third try!

I investigated there in 2009 and caught the holy grail of paranormal investigation. I caught a an apparition of a woman on the second floor. Look at my video on my channel anrosado. It's the only video

@dhwang80 haha Misfortune, I guess. If I recall correctly, I think he said he saw a full body apparition of a female (near her 20's if my memory serves me right) in the upper parts of the building. He worked under Chef Phile there for a couple years and he said while the paranormal activity was not common, it did happen.

That is certainly interesting. I've never experienced anything like that before. But if I recall, I believe I caught a male voice on the 3rd floor. Perhaps he found you appealing??

Hi dhwang80. My husband and I had dinner there 2/12/11. We went to look around after dinner. On the 3rd floor i felt like someone was walking behind me until I got back down to the second floor. No one else was there but my husband and I, and he was walking in front of me. It was creepy, I just wanted to share that with you.
