  • Blackpool77 your comments on the pier are spot on and they almost bring a lump to my throat. i have fantastic memories of that venue. thank's for bringing them flooding back! cheers mate..ktf

  • Morecambe pier was on my door step and they had some of the best soul nights ever.

it had everything, a fantastic venue/crowd & great mix of 60' 70's & 80's soul. Many thanks for your comments..

  • All you old northern boys-love you to bits- but this was massive down in the south as well. What a five star string filled romantic dancer. Big in London's Lyceum in the Strand and especially at The Watersplash at London Colney played by non other than Jonny Soul!

  • The Central at Morecambe was indeed out of this world. We -- the Bradford contingent-- had somne of our best ever nights there.

  • Simply sublime, only regret is that I didn't get to see him perform, thankyou once again

  • Ur work to background visual disc 80's was SUPERB!! 5******

  • Yeah morecambe was great and this was a regualr spin. Always enjoyed a few cockles from the old timer with the seafood basket at about 4.00 am...

  • Heres a blast from the Morecambe past : remember Clifton Dysons "Slow your Body Down" - big for Marc Farley !!

  • cheers Tonio -think Morecambe was rather overlooked compared to some of the other all-nighters that some people go on about . Considering its huge attendances and its music policy it stands out as ,for me , one of the great North West Soul Venues

  • Always remember them playing the old Colin Curtis spin : Harvey Mason "How Does it Feel" -that really took the roof off the place !!

  • Yes it was a great night . Remember on the 2nd Anniversary when Kev Edwards was there (not djing) .Both Richard and Kev had asked Colin Curtis to come to ,but Colin couldnt . Great night; great sounds;great crowd - huge attendance in 85/86 -it even beat Legends in Manchester into 2nd place in the Black Echoes poll. I like so many had walked away from the Northern Scene some years earlier and went forward with the Manchester Jazz Funk Scene -but Morecambe reunited alot of the old factions .
