After seeing a psychiatrist about her drug use, Marilyn meets JFK and subsequently sings "Happy Birthday," while still haunted by Norma Jean's presence. For me, this is the best scene in the film, but it still doesn't explain the reasons why Monroe was late or how the dress she wore really was torn. Judd outdoes herself here. Contrary to belief, it is believed that Monroe had a relationship with JFK, as there seems to be no evidence that she was romantically involved with his brother, Robert Kennedy as some believe.

  • I'm sure she wasn't haunted by her former self nor did she suffer from multiple personalities and the dress was cut and she was sewn into it for a perfect fit... they played things up way too much making it seem more like a movie and less like an untold story..

  • I don't like this actress as Marilyn... nothing like her

  • @SuperCadillacdude I think it's supposed to be Norma Jean. Ie she's being haunted by herself

  • I don't understand who's the woman who is a complete fucking bitch to poor Marilyn? Also I heard her famous dress here was so tight that she had to be sewn into it and she wore nothing under it! When I see this scene it make me think of her famous saying

"Appropiate women rarely make history" She's rite

  • @bettiep Well then...that's most people, isn't it?

  • @ThePharaoho No she didn't suffer from multiple personality disorder that's true. They didd show in this movie how she suffered from depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Yes, and like I said they played things up more, but they stayed true to the sickness she suffered from and how... she wanted love, just love.

  • Guess I'm the minority here. I thought Mira did a phenomenal job playing Marilyn. You really got a feel of Marilyn's addictions and mental problems from Mira's performance....it wasn't sugar coated. I'm a HUGE Marilyn fan but she was human and she had her vices and problems just as we all do.

  • will someone please make a video of Mira Sorvino just singing the Happy Birthday, Mr. President song? :)

  • watch kennedy mini series? thanks for nothing

  • @bettiep Marilyn suffered from depression, anxiety, and insomnia NOT multiple personality disorders. Give me a damn break...this film is innacurate trash. Noone looks or acts at all like the characters they're suppose to be playing and the script sucked. They didn't even talk about Marilyns success as a dramatic actress in the latter half of her career. They made her look pathetic and she was not. She was vulnerable but a fighter. She fought those bastatrds in hollywood and was winning.
