  • what kind of interface does the second hard drive need im upgrading mine

  • @MrBigdify SATA

  • What is the brand of that screwdriver you are using? I've been looking for a good set for PC and Laptop Repair that are both very magnetic and made good so they don't strip out. Thankz.

  • @ASHLEY031696 Hey Ashley, That screwdriver is a Craftsman P1, but the P0 and P2 are amazing to keep around for both smaller and bigger screws. They are great screwdrivers that seem to grab onto most screws I encounter on a daily basis. They're really sharp-tipped and work great!

  • HI TMDENNIE,

if i used the kingston SSDNOW 100, does it have the same size as the Intel SSD x-25m?

  • @smooVe1234 The SSDNow should be the same thickness, but it has a chance of being a little thicker. Make sure you find out before ordering it. Other than thickness, all 2.5" laptop drives, whether they're SSD or rotational HDD's, are all the same size.

  • Question: I have ordered an SSD for my G73JH. So basically, if I want to transfer the OS from the stock (C:/) HDD to the SSD, I need to first install the SSD and then clone it over correct? Once cloned to the SSD, I make the new SSD the bootable one? (I think thats what you did?)

  • Very helpful. Thank you. This thing makes a drastic improvement to an already fast machine. The 120GB Intel is on sale at Best Buy for $159.

  • This is amazing ty

  • Don't wanna buy no more

  • Hey so, i was curious, i want to use my recovery discs for my asusg73jh for a factory install onto a 120gb SSD, is that possible? I've read somewhere that the drive has to be either equal or greater size and in FAT...

Am i only to get a equal/greater drive or install drivers manually? I'd rather do factory install.

  • @tmdennie What is the maximum hight for a hard drive for the g73, im lookin at a western digital raptor drive that is for laptops Height (maximum): 14.5mm

    Width (maximum): 69.75mm

I know the width is fine from what I've seen they are 9.5mm height by default and I wanna make sure it would still fit. Thanks.

  • Thanks. I had 1 drive in with the caddy pointing the wrong way and I couldn't figure out why the screw holes didn't match. Your video cleared that up. It would be nice when you order a drive caddy from Asus if they supplied the screws as well. I had to go to 3 different computer shops to find the screws.

  • Is the asus a SATA 2 or 3?

  • What is the name of the screw that holds the ''bottom door''?

  • Great vid by the way so you cloned the hd over to the intel ssd, how did you do that
