She puts her soul into every word and it is so amazing, listening to her really touch you deep, deep within. I am not religious but God Bless Her, that voice must be heaven sent. She makes me feel love, compassion, tenderness, happiness, compassion. I love her like I love Aretha Franklin and Edith Piaf. She's a goddess of singing.

@PlimpyDaPenguinFilms You got that right - she was on America's Gotta Talent (G-D knows she definitely has talent)... and it would seem that talent was passed on. Her daughter was nominated for an Oscar for the title role of Precious ( Gabby Sidibe).

Maybe she likes singing in the subway. Seeing her there randomly out of the blue and singing with her was better than most concerts I've been to.
