Joseph Daul Criticises Brussels Criminality

Joseph Daul, the chairman of the EPP (European Peoples Party) Group in the European Parliament, has criticised the large-scale criminality in Brussels. The immediate cause was the brutal robbery of the German MEP Niebler. Safety is not insured in this city, Daul stated in the European Parliament.

Frank Vanhecke and Philip Claeys, Vlaams Belang MEPs, agreed with what Mr. Daul said. However, our party does not only demand a better protection of MEPs, but of all the Brussels citizens.

In the movie fragment, former Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt is seated next to Mr. Daul. Verhofstadt is one of the main people responsible for the soft approach towards criminality in this country. At first, Verhofstadt is clearly not interested in what Mr. Daul is saying. Then, he starts to laugh By laughing with Mr. Dauls statements, Guy Verhofstadt mocks with the thousands of Brussels inhabitants who are yearly being confronted with all forms of criminality.
