  • @jdmfonte

I am very impressed that you got lessons from him !

I'd really love to be at your place.

Well, I agree to your words that some accordionist do overwight that bellows-thing, even do fakery.

On the other side: bellows are the inner soal of accordion. You can't play accordion well without understanding, feeling bellows. As a matter of fact different playing, interpretation, behavior concerning bellows will follow. Each accordionist will develop it's own way, more or less.

  • COOKIN!!!! Man haz lightning in a bottle, lubes on his exercize board and more talent in his farts than most of us gin up in a lifetime.

  • @LibertangoVieenrose AND Mr Van Damme doesn't make it into some overhyped/ overacted bellows- weigth- a- ton Drama thing you'd see some others with zero real talent do. This guy's a solid American ACCORDION jAZZCAT. My cousin Angelo taught me who he is way back when I took lessons from him in the early sixties and was finally starting to see the potenttial in improv on the accordion. Angelo talked and made faces when he was into it, but he didbn't do some MJyron Floren/Dick Contino "fakery

  • I don't like this style of jazz - I prefer smooth and some others - but there is extraordinary excellence and superb skills, decades of experience within this artists playing. He is model for me.

He played himself into accordionists hall of fame for ever !

Thumbs up, there is no other choice.

  • it´s a finger-acrobatic-playing
