Today, March 14, 2011, a second nuclear explosion occurred in Fukushima, Japan. Things are getting worse. We may be facing a global catastrophe soon. If we get away with it this time, all nuclear power plants must shut down world wide. If not, this is what might happen ...

  • what movie was that explosion from? that looked awesome!!!

  • @ghoulshark

The name of the movie is Knowing, starring Nicolas Cage

  • How could you say that?

The whole world economy depends on nuclear power.

Do you understand what will happen if we stop the economy from working?

You only come with things why it is bad, but not with solutions.

Where will the power of a nuclear power plant come from instead?

Do you know how much power a nuclear plant generates?

That is not possible with wind or solar. And even if it is, you have to have millions of wind turbines for one nuke plant.

  • Are you aware of the fact that most the countries in this world DO NOT have nuclear power plants? And these are not necessarily 3rd world countries. Australia is a good example. It surprises me that you worry more about the amount of power for the mankind, rather than about the mankind itself. What good would the nuclear power do to the civilization if the civilization will be destroyed by this power?

  • idiot.

  • Infact a week or 2 ago they allowed the press into the fukushima plant.

Putting your ridiculous concerns aside. This is the most effient and cleanest source of power that we are currently have. Aside from the rare occurence of a radiological disaster, nuclear power plants are verry effient and supplies power to millions of people across the US. And if it wern't for ignorant idiots like you. We could proceed with building safer plants!

    Rebuttle?

  • Jesus another fing stupid political message about nuclear power...

First of all, a nuclear reactor meltdown does NOT result in a nuclear blast. And yes it still does release enormous amounts of radioactivity but the ONLY complete nuclear meltdown EVER on this earth was chernobyl. The mistakes of stupid russian engineers should not account for all the other nuclear power plants on the earth. Any other Partial meltdowns were well contained. Three mile island and fukushima were both contained. I

  • a nuclear reactor has nowhere near the power to cause a blast like that, but the damage would be severe and would threaten lives.that blast looked like by my guess a 30 megaton.

  • There are some other sources like hydro, solar, coil ETC where from we can produce energy/electricity for our daily use, which are not that much uncontrollable so he is right ! all nuclear plants weather thy are producing power or any other experimental use like booms, should be shut down immediately please let humans live don't forget Chernobyl ! search this word on youtube ( Chernobyl ) and who thy are not agreed with this video will be agreed !

  • @Zoefzoef24 I have a solution! Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactors, More efficient, more abundant resource, no explosion.

  • @Zoefzoef24 youtube.com/watch?v=kjpp2MQffnw

  • so...wheres the power coming from to power your computer/laptop/house ect ect, might not be nuclear...but saying that it could be...

  • @Zoefzoef24 sodium hydroxide we have and can make very inexpensive and silicate mix these with water and hydrogen been available for over 100 years but it would ultimately mean if we use hydrogen our energy would become free thus meaning you lose control over the people DO YOU GET IT YET

  • Despite the word "nuclear" being in the name, nuclear power power plants are actually pretty safe. When we get fusion power plants going, though, we'll be rocking.
