@vitamvas The most important thing we can do with our kids is teach them how to be good, tolerant, civil members of society; The fundamentals of the Bible teach them to be homophobic, sexist, elitist, psychopaths that think the majority of the worlds population will be tortured for eternity by a loving God.

I used to be the same way as you, but then I found free thought.

That something missing was probably the lack of sexual intercourse sir.

That sounds like some dialogue from Diablo II. I don't remember the quest about "drop all logic and worship a sky daddy" though.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. Teaching children the Bible is a good thing. Perhaps then they will see the immense amount of idiocy it contains and maybe they'll do better things with their time than flip through some "memory cross" to memorize trivial crap from a book supposedly written by "god" thousands of years ago.

Swimming, art and music aren't the same as politics and religion. Don't be silly.
I used to feel the same way as you, but I could not shake the feeling that something was missing in my life, like there had to be more. If you get 15 minutes open it up read John. John 3:16 says for God so loved the world (you and me) that he gave his one and only son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. I can tell you it is true. No matter what we've done He wants to take it away and give us a new life that has peace and joy in it.

Please, the children are too young to know where they stand on religion, just the same as they do not know where they stand in polotics. Don't ruin children, wait for them to grow up and decide on their own.

I could understand that feeling. However why would you have your kids do anything then. Don't have them take swimming, art, music etc. Wait until they grow up and let them decide. Teaching kids the fundamentals of the Bible are the most important thing we can do with our kids.
