Stephen Colbert Edit Challenge

Note: I made this video with Movie Maker, the crappiest editing program out there.

A letter to Stephen Colbert:

Dear Mr. Report,

Let me commend you on your ongoing support of digital medium through your various video challenges. This practice is admirable and speaks volumes of your no-holds barred, maverick reporting style. When you believe in something Mr. Colbert, you go and support it with everything you have, no matter what all your peers and pundit partners may think of it. You sir, have balls that go clang.

Yet it is with great dismay that I write to you, as I find myself in the impossibility of submitting my video remix to your glorious challenge for the simple reason that I reside outside of your great country. Not Timbuktu far, no, simply a few hundred miles north in a little patch of land we call Canada, the northernmost of all the Americas.

I was shocked to learn that I would not be able to participate in this venture with you, as such an honor is indeed proving to be too good to be true. If there was anything that could be done to extend the rules of the contest to allow North American submissions, I would be grateful to such a point that I would be willing to sacrifice something which is held most dearly in my country: the allegiance to my local hockey team. Indeed, I would be willing to throw away the jersey of my favorite OHL team the Ottawa 67's and pledge allegiance to your coveted Saginaw Spirit and to Steagle Colbeagle himself. For you, this I would do.

I can only hope in the meantime that everyone enjoys the video. That was really the point of the whole thing anyways.
