Teen dies after bicycle accident

Jamie Rose, the 14-year-old victim of a bicycle-car accident Saturday, died Tuesday at OU Medical Center

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Norman.

The accident occurred at approximately 7:09 p.m. Saturday, at the intersection of Flood Avenue and Lexington Street. Norman police, fire and EMSStat paramedics responded to the call.

The bicyclist was struck by a northbound vehicle as she attempted to cross Flood Avenue eastbound, police said. The driver of the vehicle was not injured, police said. Jamie was transported to Norman Regional Hospital, and later transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
