  • I'm coming from Buffalo to help sandbag. We here in Buffalo,NY heard the river could crest at 43 feet now. You guys in Fargo have lot's of support coming from Buffalo. Our National Gaurd is on stand by to rush in to your area. I'm taking an Amtrek train as we speak and I'm just passing Chicaco. I will be in Fargo by about 2pm EDT or 1pm CDT.

  • Wow, what a contrast from Katrina in New Orleans.

  • That weather guy sounded like he sh@t his pants.

  • The 50 feet mentioned was the river depth in Grand Forks, which is about 80 miles north of Fargo. The dike built there after the '97 Flood protects up to 60 feet.

  • it crested at 39.5 in '97.

  • in 1897

  • just one thing i noticed was the mistake when they mentioned the 97' flood. they said it crested at over fifty feet, it crested at 40.1 in 97'

  • its both at Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN, we're just across a river
