This video is just demonstrating how the fog of war works. When the player walks underneath the fog mesh, it raycasts to check for the closest vertex. Which it in turn drops the alpha to 0.
Developed in Unity3D as part of our NEM201 assignment. This is a tutorial group assignment with the whole class, working under the psuedo company named Rooftop Studios.
