I think it's possible he did survive, there was other copy cat hijackings after this and they all survived (i.e. Richard McCoy, Frederick Hahneman, Robb Dolin Heady etc.) they all were later apprehened. Just saying........

I'd like to know how the police tracked the circulation of money in the 70's, I mean would every place he spent it be checking serial numbers. I think it would be possible for him to head to Canada and not be detected there.

@crazyfills fore sure.....I'd love to know who he is, what he did for a living, background......and the look of shock on any of his families face when it comes out. But chances are, he may have not had many family members.....possibly an unmarried loaner

@inkey2 I also think he is as dead as a doornail but this dosn't stop us from identifying him thus closing the case

I got one question...was the hand writing of 'Dan Cooper' on the airline ticket ever compared with Gossetts hand writing? Just a thought...
Where did they get that narrator. His voice is so distracting! Way too deep, not a good choice.

@hankbob2000 Haha, that's my voice. It's a better choice than my regular voice, trust me. It fit the mood of the movie a lot better. Probably a little too deep though, I can respect that opinion.

Also, you cite Gossett's 20 years of experience in the military.
You dont make known whether he had expertise-if any-with airliners and airplanes.
This is crucial if we are to tie or "convict" Gossett as Cooper.
Also, the supposed fact that Gossett had money problems tied into what i believe is mistaken thinking of the case.
People have long believed that Cooper "needed" the money.
I would submit that is wrong.
If Cooper wanted $200,000 badly, he could have robbed a bank quite easily.

@MultiSmartass1 I like your arguments. If I had more than 4 weeks to make this film, maybe I would have been able to pose a more persuasive conclusion. Thanks for your input.
