  • The military had all these random strategies they employ in the first season like their capturing electric cage but in the 2nd season, it's just using those new GNX's

  • @goldmagistrate Because those first-season strategies didn't work. :-)

  • 0:04 It sucks when the camera just randomly starts recording out of nowhere and catches you off guard, doesn't it? ;-)

  • @asymmetrisch I know! And right in the middle of something else. At least I'm nice enough to interrupt my manga reading to make an impromptu review. ;-)

  • @bigred2989 Interesting!

I'd say that would be true if he were portrayed as an anime fan (or a fan) in some way. Instead, he's just a military officer who becomes enamored by Japanese samurai moral codes, which is more a commentary on people admiring samurai than on anime fans specifically. And there are plenty of "samurai otaku" out there.

I'd be more inclined to see it as a joke about military fanatics than anime fans. :-)

  • Weird i thought you had reviewed this already. Nether the less I love 00 being a huge Gundam fan i really liked how i could relate to it based on the real world problems it had and when i first saw it the ideals of certain characters fit mine to a certain extent. The characters were great but i wish they had expanded on some a bit more. Also Setsuna is probably(along with sousuke from FMP)the only middle eastern lead character in an anime which is awsome since im middle eastern/asian.

  • Quite the enjoyable series throughout. The 2nd season had that...well, "2nd season syndrome" going into some odd directions with the story. Saji gets his chance to be a proactive character will all the dumb decisions he made. Oh, and f*** Nina Trinity.

  • I love 00 but be aware. The second season is when the romance comes in full force.

  • @iaintblackhomey I can agree with that statement as well.

  • @SilverWorldEnter ...Henceforth the term "relative"? I wasn't denying the realism it exposes, rather just approaching it with skepticism. However, I think Gundam will still lack that realism for ages to come, despite future "possibilities" that in a hundred years we'll have robot buddies that "can walk and do thinks." Therefore, the concept of realism here is vague. But I do understand where you're coming from and I mostly agree.

  • @iaintblackhomey All gundam shows are in alternade universe, you can not compare today´s Technology with the future technology as I can promise you that in a 100 years we will have robots that can walk and do thinks. Now the idea behind 20 feet tall robots called Gundams is something that is still realistic to any person alive to think that these things COULD exist in the future.

Even with the current technology, Robots can be made to walk in a straight line (Look it up)

  • @Zeroasd693 Realistic theme? Is that so? Realism... it's an extremely relative concept in Gundam to be honest. Even the whole idea of a mobile suit is not that realistic relative to our own level of technology in the first place. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to create a bipedal robot that walks in a straight line in the first place?

  • Glad to see you liked it...I do hope you do an Awakening of the Trailblazer review after this and tie off 00 in a nice knot. Also, I know you don't like it...and I have harped on this before, but Victory Gundam is needing to be reviewed. I am watching it right now...and it isn't that bad. once they move into space, things really start to pick up and get good.

  • With a Tiger?

    hahahahaha lol.
