  • your an amazing teacher! your clear and open to that faced that every one is different, so any one can make one (there own way) i love that you don't think your ways is the right way, but know that you have helpful info for people that don't have any idea. i don't want or need to make a boffer, i just got sucked in listening and learning. i think thats an Aweson talent you have!!!

  • @WillGray42 i saw that you didnt use any type of glue to keep the core and the foam tube together. do you find that ducktape is enough to keep the boffer intact? do you think the appropriate type of glue would make the boffer last longer?

  • Viewers also need to keep in mind that every LARP has a different set of construction rules. This will affect the materials you choose for your core, foam, length, weight, and cost. This is a very good general tutorial, just be sure that when you are crafting your first weapon it adheres to all safety requirements of your LARP.

  • I just started in SoftCombat and I was looking for a video on how to, and I gotta say, out of most of the vids, your's is the most helpful. They look great, and I look forward to starting doing my own boffers soon!

  • i cut the PVC at 3 feet 2 inch and 3 inches of foam on the tip one 1 inch of foam on the handle of the sword . I make the handle 8 inches.the boffer sword is 3 feet 6 inch all together. with a 10 inch hand guard. 

  • i was wondering, i made a foam noodle one using foam weatherstrip for a double egde blade. will it last?
