Bolton's comments are totally wrong in the new world we find ourselves in, since the moderate is challenging the entire regime.
Funny he was totally proven wrong just a few days after this interview because not even he understands what is going on, or could predict the demonstrations.

I understand that, but it was also the analogy Bolton used. He used it as a rhetorical question to answer when the interviewer asked him if it mattered who won the election. My answer would be "yes." Bolton's (through the analogy) was "no."
Even though he said it doesn't matter who wins, a dollar says he and the other neo-cons are now going to make a huge FUSS about Ahmadinejad stealing the election from the nice 'moderate.'

So, does this mean it would have made no difference if Trotsky or Stalin were running the Soviet Union, and if (hypothetically) given the opportunity to influence whether Trotsky or Stalin gained control of the Soviet Union, the United States (or any other country) wouldn't/shouldn't have bothered?

John Bolton is the last person we need involved in any meaningful discussion of anything, much less our foreign policy. He always has one point of view---be afraid, very afraid. He is an ignorant whose answer to everything is force, force, and more force. Sometimes i wonder if Bolton realizes what a Doofus he looks like with that "Hitler like" moustache of his, Its like he has a permanent "Milk Moustache" where ever he goes... At least color that darn thing when you color your hair Bolton...
