The Variable Resistor Seems to Always Burn Out.

I Think I Need a Higher Rated One.

I Also Have Two Decent Circuit Ideas in the Pipe Line.

  • maybe try a cap on both sides of the charging circuit so it will regulate volts from the coil to the pot and from the pot to the battery. Voltage spike can get really high and the caps might level them out. if thats what is burning them up

  • I think that its the power that goes through it thats frying them, but its worth a try. I'll put a cap across the variable resistor and see.

  • Just a minor setback imho.

    Best of luck :)

P.S. I could barely make out the Output Meter's Screen Display :( ... Just put them closer together maybe next time.

    Thanks for the Video.

    Cheers

  • I like to keep them on the side that they are showing, but I will move the camera more next time.

You can get 15v out, but it blows the pot after about 10 mins....
