CustomGuitarVideo.com Les Paul Collector Tom Wittrock tells the wonderful story how he bought his first Burst, a 1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard, for $2000. Everybody called him "the crazy guy who paid $2000 for a used guitar"! In 1972 he met with Billy Gibbons and got infected by the Vintage "Burst" virus. Due to their beautiful sunburst finish, these rare guitars are referred to as "Bursts". Prices for these Gibson Les Pauls exceed $ 500.000 Enjoy the beauty of "Curly" in close-up shots. Extremely rare interview with the man who knows them all.

  • @1KevinsFamousChili1 Umm he used Oxblood a lot more then his strat.

  • I used to go over to Springfield, MO to Third Eye Music when I was in college at Pitt State in Pittsburg, KS. Their "store" was in an old house at the time. I'm thinking about 1978 or 1980 I could have bought a refinished '58 stratocaster for $850.00. It looked like new. I thought, "I can buy a new one for less...." I walked out, and I've kicked myself in the butt ever since.

  • @1KevinsFamousChili1 He did use a les paul in the 60's, a 54 oxblood colour les paul. Gibson have made a Jeff Beck signature model.

  • the guy says Jeff Beck used a Les Paul he used a Strat

  • For guitar enthusiasts not players?
