The Wrestler's protagonist Randy "The Ram" Robinson(Mickey Rourke) will make you fall in love with this movie without even raising a hand. Its something to be watched over and over again just to capture the heart and soul of Rourke's character again. This is the Wrestling equivalent to "Rocky." I give this movie two huge thumbs up. IMDB Rating= 8.7/10.

~I want to give a special thanks to Donust00, he's an awesome guy.

  • Yes it was a good film. I'm glad Rourke won the BAFTA for best actor.

  • Yeah, I'm glad to hear that much, Rourke's performance felt so incredibly fluid in that film.

  • I don't like wrestling but the movie was a good movie.

  • I found the movie easily accessible, even if I was never into wrestling as a kid I am sure that I would have found this movie just as enjoyable. It's definitely a good stand alone story.

  • "The Spirit" will be in my memory for a long time as a cancer of the mind much like "Aliens vs Predator Requiem." Though "AVPR" was very easy to mess up, after reading a re-release of "The Spirit" in pop-up form, I came to the opinion that his character was too cool to mess up, was I sure wrong after coming out of that theater. For the ending of "The Wrestler," that ending does make me wonder the same thing, does he survive or is the final flame of his career?

  • The Spirit was without doubt one of the worst films ive ever had this misfortune of seeing, I mean what were they thinking? Yeh I agree with you about getting kinda emotionally attached to Randy the ram, leaves you wondering what happened when he left that top rope...

  • I do not know anything about Welsh cinema, so I could not say. The movie did have a lasting appeal to it that was: "I don't want Randy The Ram to die." Whether watched once or twice or three times I believe that the same feeling will be produced unlike movies like "No Country For Old Men" where the more you watch it, the more appreciative you become of it. I think it's a lasting piece of film, much better than some of the crap released like "The Spirit."

  • Don't watch Welsh cinema lol theres nothing interesting about Wales at all. But yeh fantastic film best film released since American Gangster, though strangely don't think I could watch it a second time. I'd give it 5 stars.

  • Long live everything.
