Have you ever tried ski touring? Its quite the amazing experience. Just back the other day I climbed the east peak, which is just bast the boundaries. The solitude and natural beauty away from the bustle of the resort is magnificent!

@goldenjabba That sounds excellent! I've(Cindy) been a downhill & Nordic skier for years(but also haven't been out for a couple years now). I grew up on Red Mtn/Granite Mtn. When I lived in the Kootenays(Rossland) the Nordic Skiing was as you describe. So many trails and virtually no people, except for the ones I would go with. I LOVED it!!!
