This video doesn't really need a description, but for the chemists among you:

6KClO3(l) + C12H22O11(s) → Explosive fun!

I filmed this at school a couple of years ago, and unfortunately I've lost the original colour footage. The "real" reaction glows a very vivid lilac due to electronic transitions in the potassium caused by the intense heat.
