Really well done. I'm comparing this in particular to the recent MET version with Garanca and Brownlee and the Liceu version with DiDonato and Florez. And really, the overall singing here is better (less patchy, at least) and the piece works better without the mannered inclusion of strange ribbons or hand gestures. Good work, Houston Grand Opera.
