I just have to say that Jesus, if he was real, was not even close to the ultimate sacrifice. In fact he may not have even been anything more then a minor sacrifice. He predicted that he would rise again and live on. The only thing Jesus sacrificed was 3 days while having the fore knowledge that he would be brought back and rule over everything.

Egoist is important to say that his is but only pamper yourself. For them, the presence of altruism is to deny one's lifestyle. The act of caring for others, I feel the extra shows. Egoist to deny So altruist altruist attack. Egoist is a good command of narrative, rather than extruded yourself Lost, others can attack at best a rather puzzled. Personality, however humbly, not reliable, and we consider only private interest exists, the future society is harmful.

Maybe you could say that even if we're all egoists, we sometimes sacrifice more base interests which have more potential to motivate us for weaker, or "higher interests". For example, I'm a vegetarian trying to be a vegan. I love the taste of meat but stopped eating it out of what one might call "duty", even if somewhere deep down it is self interest. However, my self interest or base motivation hasn't allowed me yet to become a full vegan, even though the "higher part" of me wants to do this...

Of course, we are not omniscient and often addicted so momentary self interests override longterm interests. Don't forget the fact that evolution is more concerned with reproduction than longevity in every case (Humans and elephants included). Biology will happily trade one of you for two of you (I know the actual math involved so don't be obnoxiously pedantic). The only way for ethical egoism to work is if longevity trumps all other motivations (I take individuality as a given, don't you).
