Carlos Santana's tribute to Robert Venosa, Red Rocks Amphitheater, CO, Sep. 3, 2011. Background projections: art by Robert Venosa, animations by Johnathan Singer
@1athena Really their good friends? somehow i missed that in my 1991 first addition Noospheres which has pictures of them together where Santana also has a commentary, i guess i also failed to realize that with the Santana album cover Abraaxas dating all the way back to 1971 which he collaborated on with Master Mati Klarwein, i guess i should do my homework first huh?
@wahkeena Venosa is eternally humble and of coarse would have loved it, my point is he is a modern master, he hung with Salvador Dali and Giger, He is an american artist yet almost completely ignored by the american art world. Finally he gets a tribute to a mass audience at a venue where each of his painstakingly executed paintings could stand on their own as psychedelic visuals but instated are convoluted by cheap computer effects. Great way to tribute a life's work- computer generated mockery
@killreligion666 Seriously you don't like that!? Whoa... well, I am sure Bob Venosa wouldn't mind... they were good friends... and I am sure his wife Ok'd. ;). Peace and Joy to you.
@killreligion666 wow. that is horrifyingly judgmental and unnecessarily nasty. What would Venosa think? I think he would feel honored; let us not pass judgment....
wow, those projections by Jonathan Singer are completely amazing! Totally mesmerizing... and thank you for the uplifting words by Santana, and your beautiful tribute to him. blessings ~;~
wow..Jonathan Singer completely butchers Venosas Tribute by obscuring all of the art to his own trip. You can't see any of Venosas art here. Sad. Way to steal the spotlight.
