marsh farm fireworks 2

This is the second half of the firework display up at the local high school field. I have been there many times over there years.

yeah there was a bonfire as well but, it was too cold to go towards it and i could see the smoke but could not get to it to record that as well.

whats the fireworks for?

it is celebrating Guy Faukes Night. Where he and some others attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament.

The gunpowder was in the cellar underneath the building. story goes there was 1800 lbs of gunpowder under the building on the night it was to go off. he was not the guy who was the idea maker but was the guy who knew explosives and was caught at the scene.

The plot failed and he was hung, drawn and quartered. as was a number of others who were also involved.

we were to have one here to but the fire the big one were to have it was to windy for it so we didn't have it but we did have the some one thank goodness for that^^
