So, the story behind this one...
This song was recorded in 1951 or '52 (anyone who knows, please message me) by Braxton Schuffert, friend of Hank Williams' and former Drifting Cowboy. (I say former, but if you've ever been a Drifting Cowboy, I guess you're one for life).
Well, on this occasion, New Years Day, 2008, Braxton was in the audience, so there was a little bit of pressure on me.
Braxton sang on this same show later, and if I can find the footage of that I will post it. I was actually able to duet with him on a song he recorded called "Rockin' Chair Daddy," however, his range is a bit higher than mine and I sound horrible trying to keep up with him, so unless I start feeling really carefree, that one won't be posted.
After I sang this, Mr. Schuffert gave me a thumbs-up from the audience, so I got his mark of approval.
Thank you James for sending me this.
Isn't he more than good....Special even.
Love him.
Will post Braxton's Rockin Chair Daddy, Then I have one more called Teardrop On A Rose which I think you will love.
