i also had the touch buttons sound problem but i got it fixed with a bios update of their website

hey dude mine used to do that. every once in a while you have to take the battery out and unplug the charger and hold down the power button. the reason it happens is because of a buildup of static. try it.

dude, you can turn that volume pad sound off, you know :D i did that to my dv5, but it was a while ago, and i can't remember how to do it, i suppose it's somewhere under the sound settings

I have a similar laptop. My left hinge is crappping out. It creaks and stuff. >_>
But otherwise it works.
The lights are from heat or something, since that's how they kinda work.
