Nice review. I prefer Remy myself, and was lucky enough to get a bottle of Remy XO. I have never been a big cigar person, but I do enjoy cognac and a pipe.

napoleon died in 1821, maybe he meant napoleon III. the man doesn't know his history but he knows his liquors

@stijnthestain Thanks for the compliment! :) The company claims Napoleon tried their Cognac ten years before his death in 1811. This would have been in the earliest stages of the company and before they branded.

in my opinion it isnt worth the money to buy any vs or vsop. They alll don'T taste mild and complex enoough. For me it starts wioth the xo's so far i've tasted couvorsier xo which was the badest so far, then hennessey xo which was the second best, the best for me so far was the Frapin xo ;) thats why i've ordered a bottle of Frapin extra... now i'm excited to taste it :). Hope its worth it'S money.

@williehrmann Agreed XO is a completely different planet to VS/VSOP in terms of taste and complexity. I think for the money though, Couvorsier VS is excellent for cocktails, cooking or everyday use. I basically save XO for special occasions ;-p Let me know how the Frapin goes down.

Hi MastersofStyle,
thx for the review! I got the Courvoisier myself and would like to know if you tried some Landy, and if so, what is your opinion about it compared to the Courvoisier?
thx!

@Lippo187 I've only drank Landy as a VSOP, found it to be a little fruitier than Courvoisier VSOP. They're both fine smooth Cognacs.
