  • we still have a fleet here in new brunswick canada of converted tbm water bombers. They are just now being phased out.

  • My father was a Avenger pilot on the USS Bogue too, WOW! I gotta tell him that.

  • My dad flew Avengers and several of the variants. He was on CVL-26 Monterey during and after WW2. Gromit801's uncle had some guts to fly Avengers off the Bogue and Guadalcanal. At less than 500 feet long, the Bogue must have looked like a postage stamp! Carrier pilots are the best.
