A well respected CAD analyst firm, payed by a CAD vendor to analyze competitors - GREAT how stupid must you be to believe this bs

its funny how CAD software has embraced the ribbon interface before anything else (aside office) yeah I know there is other software that uses it, but if we take into account software classifications CAD software as a whole uses it way more, than any other type of software, it makes sense because CAD software embraces windows much more than any other software also, I don't like the ribbon approach but I find this amusing =D

God will you people posting crawl back under your rocks and shut up. You have no idea what you are talking about. "Let's pull 3DS Max and Maya into a CAD discussion". Morons.
Inventor is the pinnacle.

@socialjunsu Maya, maya can pretty much do everything with models. inventor is strictly limited to engineering.
-
@RFC3514 Ive used inventor and am very well aware that they both are aimed at different angles. I said I hate 3ds max, not autodesk, I like maya. and Blender did NOT copy off 3ds max's interface, blender's interface has been superior to 3ds max's interface for a long time now. I like maya's interface 10x more than 3ds max. I didn't say I hated 3ds max from a fanboy point of view, I just hate it cause Ive tried using it and struggle with it.

@socialjunsu - Inventor is mainly for industrial part design (for prototyping, manufacturing, etc.). Maya (like 3ds Max, Softimage, Blender, etc.) is aimed mainly at the entertainment industry (i.e., character animation, special effects, etc.). You can transfer models between them, but they're really designed for very different tasks.
-
@rocknroll980 - You do realise that Inventor and 3ds Max are completely different applications, aimed at completely different tasks, right...? And, if anything, Blender has copied a lot of 3ds Max features and interface elements, so it's odd how you say you hate a specific program and then say you use another (very similar) one.

@MrTauro1919 At 1:03, I'm demonstrating our Technology Preview of Autodesk Inventor Fusion. Fusion can be downloaded for evaluation by searching for Autodesk LABS. No links are allowed in comments, otherwise I would put the link directly to it. Thanks for your comment - Rob
