You pinhead. You think we would actually be sitting here and saying "well, look at the way she was dressed?" If she were Joan McCain, stop it. She's so right about how a woman POW would be treated running for president. Like her or not Gloria Steinem's probably is one of the most important people in our history.

Thanks so much for posting this! Her comment about McCain was funny and appropriate in context (not to mention true!) - a fact neatly ignored by the mainstream press and the blogosphere. The march to hang her proves her point - women are judged by different standards that make every word and action a damned if you do, damned if you don't decision. Good for Gloria Steinem - she's much more of an American hero (shero) than John McCain will ever be.
