she said in an interview with NPR that the head shop sold quite a lot of interesting devices and when she was younger she couldn't go in but she did go in when she was older.

I've been wondering, too... in an interview she said she never really knew what a head shop was good for and I was a little confused... because "head shop" isn't in the dictionary... but now it doesn't make sense either... Tina, you have a very cryptic way of songwriting sometimes! :)
