SUBLIME, transcendent and exciting! I've never enjoyed and rendition of the C Major Prelude so much. Tears...literal tears! That hasn't happened to me in I don't know how long.
Until ten minutes ago, I'd never heard of Daniel Gaisford. Now, after hearing 2 recordings, he's with Leonard Rose and Pierre Fournier on my list of the exquisite.

He is amazing. I used this video to contrast the wooden cello with the carbon fiber one. The carbon fiber cello is much brighter, but something is missing in it that the wooden one possesses. It just seems more 'there,' like the difference between reading a handwritten letter versus a typed one.
