I was raised Irish Catholic & forced to be an altar boy thankfully I wasn`t abused by any of the parish priests. If you haven`t seen the movie Religulous I would have to say it has cured a lot of fence sitters. Agnostic until proen otherwise

Agreed.

@RandomVortex I think it'd be cool if you could hire someone like her to come to your house when you're feeling depressed and cheer you up for an hour or so, but then kinda just go.
Actually, after I watched the entire series I gained a lot of respect for her and her journey. She's obviously intelligent and inquisitive.

She's obviously a lovely person who thankfully now has a good grasp on reality but her ultra bubbly nature would also grind my gears somewhat.
She reminds me of one of my chipy aunts so I cant be too harsh.

Cool story, but goddam she's annoying.

@EPTechCompany Then everything is EVIL including you.

@EPTechCompany: What we call cold is scientifically described as lack of movement on the atomic level. It is not a property in and of itself. What we call darkness is scientifically described as a lack of light. Again, it is not a property in and of itself. Evil and goodness are personality traits, not something you can see, feel or measure. Besides, given all the Evil done in the name of God over the years...
I wanna marry this chick.
Its about time a woman publicly shoved it up Christianity.

A fairly large proportion of them were deists, not your average Christian and many were deeply skeptical of organized religion and had nothing but contempt for the theological myths like the creation myth. Look up Jeffersons view of religion. Thomas Paine was an outright atheist.
Even then though, being brilliant in one respect doesn't mean being right in everything. Most of them were deeply racist and many owned slaves. Does that make slavery right?
