For thousands of years, Christians have held onto the truth of God's Word as the foundation for their belief in creation. Some though have altered His Word to say something very different about the origins of the universe. What are these changes and how have they affected Christianity?

When you go to when Jesus talks, he would say something profound and yet a child could understand it. This is because it was important for everyone to understand it. But we all can grow as Christians and learn more about the universe. The how is not as important as the why. Why not make a Christian discussion (or debate) that as the body of Christ we evaluate the situation? We are one in Christ, not two or three, but one. No offense to the poster, but videos like these make that difficult.

This video is actually disappointing... Listening to it it sounds like it's saying, "look, stop believing in billions of years because we ourselves can interpret it correctly." The fact is BOTH sides have assumptions and BOTH are using their own interpretation to see what Genesis says. We're all one in Christ; why can't we have a Christian debate where we both realize that we both agree that salvation is through Jesus Christ who is our Lord and Savior?

And I will apologize if my wording previously makes it seem like I'm angry. Truth is that I am, but I believe it's just. It just makes me upset that I see people I agree with and disagree with both claiming they know the true interpretation when we all don't. Also, from people I've met some people really get angry if you offer a different interpretation. Some things are absolute, but everyone must realize you can go back to the original language and look up the meaning... I wish everyone well.

YEC is just date setting and it brings disgrace to Christianity. Its exactly the same as when the church arrested Galileo. Its sad people need to join YEC cults instead of trusting God when he said he created the universe "in the beginning". Which was before the first day of assigning purpose to things.
