Thomas Blug live in Saarbruecken 2006.
Maybe the sound recording is not great, but the performance was superb.
The meistro plays and you can feel the vibes.

  • What´s the brazilian flag is doing on the stage ?

  • Hi Gandier, sorry for the late reply!

I really do not know why the Brazilian flag was out there. Maybe the keyboard player has some warm feelings with Brazil.

    Cheers

  • I wonder what the drummer does for a living??

  • the singer could be Ruud Van Nistelrooy but his singing his still lousy and wrecks some great guitar playing. Presumably Thijs Van Leer was in Focus so one can only presume he did not do the vocals on the original. had he done so the record would have sold about 10 copies !

  • the singer is Thijs van Leer!

  • incredible but YES!!!

    is Thijs van Leer!!

  • wanted, you are a right plonker!

  • do you know who that is, fuckface !

  • he needs a better singer. enough said.

  • Hi xpaddy01,

There is an other vid of the same concert with proffesional audio and video. Thomas Blug was so kind to send me a CD with the song: Thomas Blug - Leave of absence.

    Check it out!

    Best regards.

  • MInd boggling, innit?? :) Still, it works, and brilliantly, too! Red Funnel thank you so very much for posting these. I know you would have wanted a slightly better quality of audio, but for me I'm grateful to have this! And I have no doubt that both maestro van Leer and maestro Blug sounded as brilliant as I know they did.

And I'm also impress that maestro van Leer can still do it vocally, too! Doesn't bother me in the least that I'm hearing 2008 Thijs versus 1974 Thijs.

  • Very Good !!!
