This documentary is based around the 2am lock out/shut down proposal in Queensland. The Queensland Government want to put a stop to violence on Queensland streets and public venues in the hope of decreasing unruly, drunken behaviour. The aggression occurring in popular night spots such as Brunswick Street in Fortitude Valley places an immediate strain on police, emergency and health system resources. The proposed legislation will aim to change the original lockout time of 3am to 2am. Through research and public opinion it is evident that there are alternative solutions rather than changing the lockout period. Our documentary highlights the current issues surrounding night time violence whilst discovering an effective joint resolution for both the general public and government. -Created by QUT Film and T.V Students: Tamie Stoddart, Liz Walmsley, Jody Gleeson, Ally Newton, Sharani Chue.
they need better public transport if they want to do this cause as transport is NOT adequate, there also needs to be an education campaign into getting people to drink less or go home early
