It is hereby announced to the general public that following penalties will apply to all Sri Lankan citizens regardless of gender, ethnicity or provincial location under Chortle Act No. 01 of 2009 . This will also apply to foreign nationals on the sovereign soil of Sri Lanka.

Biting Lower Lip While Showing Some Teeth Laugh Tax - Rs. 20
Showing Both Sets of Teeth Laugh Tax - Rs. 20
Showing Both Sets of Teeth With Wagging Tongue Laugh Tax- Rs. 50
Pointing Fingers With Shaking Body Laugh Tax - Rs. 60
Shaking Body With Stomach Cramps Laugh Tax - Rs. 80
Collapsing On Chair And Crying Laugh Tax - Rs. 90
ROFL (Roll On The Floor And Laughing) Tax - Rs. 100
