test ride

First time out of the garage. No where near done but had to try over the new transmission and blow the cob webs out. Lousy burnout though. I was locked in first gear didnt realize it. Ill try better next time...

You know what, I just finished(hopefully, those guys are quite square minded and they don't know when to shut up) arguing over the same subject with some proud ass rednecks so I really don't want to start. All I'm gonna ask is WHY? What's the point? Why do you run that thing on such rich mixture?

@GM572 because i can. i wanted something that wasnt a cookie cutter hot rod. so i built one. there is no mixture. this isnt a gas motor with a carb. the injectors are 140mm marine injectors that do just fine after the turbo catches up. the smoke clears up. if you dont like my truck fine to each his own. but just callin me a fag isnt cool.

i like the engine and the truck but dont like it lowered or the roof chopped but like how the exhaust pipe is stright off the turbo

@ledfeet there is absolutely a mixture. The amount of fuel you dump in relation to how much air it takes in is mixture. Its rich off turbo, thats why it smokes. Dont think just because its a diesel, that basic tuning principles dont apply
