  • That is true. They are only related because historically the Shisa evolved from the Chinese lions.

  • I feel double blessed for my ancestry name contains Dragon, and my wifes Okinawan culture has the Shisa, our house has at least 6 of them guarding our doors and such. Beyond that, I love Okinawa, spent 5 years stationed there at Kadena AB during 70's, 80's and 90's.
