Silent Hill 5 Homecoming - Scarlet

I wanted to show my best efforts to quickly defeat Scarlet. Scarlet, like most other bosses, does not get stunned from your attacks so you either trade hits or fall on your back; unless you are perfect at dodging/parrying. Her first form is not hard if you can get a rhythm going. I tried the axe a lot but decided to stick with the steel pipe since it is slightly faster and gave me a little more time to attempt dodging. I never picked up the crowbar to test on this fight since it is out of the way. This video is a piece of an ultimate speed run that I did for the game.

Scarlet's second form is unpredictable. My goal was to keep her off the ceiling (inorder to make the fight shorter) and at the same time stay off of my back :)
8 hits with the axe (side-swing style) is enough to stun her. Her leaping attack (not the ceiling attack) is hard to dodge though. I realize that this is probably not the absolute best recording on how to handle Scarlet but it was the best out of my many attempts so far. No cheats were used for this run. Cut scenes were skipped and added in later as to not break the "pace" of a player attempting a speed run. Enjoy!

On my video, i've made better (more simple) withe the axe.

You don't have to dodge the hit but to counter her hit with your axe!

@ffoisxav I got knocked down so many times using the axe. I know it is stronger but slower to. Good to know there is a better way :)

I think Homecoming is a really underrated.

I mean it's no Silent Hill 2 but it does have nearly as good story as it

@Areallykelwguy I agree. People have the expectation that all following titles will top the previous ones. It is okay to try new and different things during game development. Sometimes I feel like the only one who appreciated this games story.

@JFCalibur88 You've make a really good fight. But for the first part with the axe, if you dogde forward before hit, the hit will be very fast and between her phase of attack you've very enough time to dot it with axe.

i don't know why, this was one of the scariest fights i ever played. i remember playing it in the dark until i got to this part - i was only a few minutes into it and i switched on the lights!

Idk what happened with my sh 5 on PC I was dodging scarllet like 1 hour or more and all her body is red without porcelain, I pushed the buttom everytime!!! I can't pass to the spider form, Can anybody Help me??? nothing happened when I use steel pipe...IN HER BACK...
