UNICEF: Climate change and children

BALI, Indonesia, 12 December 2007 -- As part of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Bali, Indonesia, UNICEF held a series of events to highlight the effects of global warming on children and to ensure that young people are involved in debate on this issue.

At a panel discussion, international delegates discussed the impact of climate change on children, particularly those living in less developed countries.

"Children are more likely to succumb to natural disasters," said Uganda's Environment Minister, Maria Mutagamba. "Children are born into this climate change problem -- trees being cut, rubbish being burned. These are serious issues affecting a child's health and future."

John R. Christy has been accused of recanting his position that climate change is neither Anthropogenic nor Catastrophic, but he didn’t. He used two independent data sets, weather balloon and satellite for his findings. (see links in my about me) Later he only stated that there was some anthropogenic impact that could not be predicted 100 years out, but that what we’re doing was good for the plants.
