Here's a collection of video images of some of the planes flown by members of the Calgary Ultralight Flying Club in Alberta, Canada. It's definitely the best ultralight club in Canada. The video is a teaser for a much more comprehensive video about the club as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. By the way, "Dragonfly" is the radio call-sign we use when flying. I hope you find this to be a brief and enjoyable escape among the heavens.

  • I live in the northeastern US. Thanks. Whats the difference between Ultra & Lite pilot's license?

  • Sorry, don't know the difference between a Private Pilot's License and a Light Sport Aircraft License in the U.S. I suggest checking with a number of flight schools in your area, and using the interenet to learn what the differences and advantages are. Good luck with it!

  • What does it cost to get into this (safely)?

  • Not much, but it depends which country you live in and what their rules are. It's cheaperst in N. America and Australia. In Canada you can get an Ultralight Pilot Permit for about $1800 - $2000 if you shop around. Not sure about the US or Aus. Planes can be had for anywhere from $8000 to $80K depending on what you want, and well equipped they are. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

  • I love the music, it's one of my all time favorite pieces... Some nice flying footage too.

  • Ok, Thanks.

  • Excellent video!!! Obviously a close group of pilots who share the love of flight. I own and fly a 65 hp Continental Pietenpol Aircamper, and I wish I could hook up with a group such as yours. Keep em flying guys. Also, I love that Corsair!!!! Clear skies & Happy landings.

  • Nicely done video. Looked like a fantastic day to commit aviation.
