Christoff is a singing god! Of all the great singers, I don't think any used or dared to use the infinite number colours and dynamics that he did. An artist that has past for all time.

@Ufelan I had Christoff in this same alive, Philipp the second alive, I can not describe, he is as he was the role itself in whole he knew everything about human soul and music, majestic at least

Why if you will be great as Christoff, you will be different anyway. Why not?
But you may have next to you some one (your wife as esemple) or somone having a sure knowlegge of the repertory; musician able to tell you what is better for you or not.... And having professional strong relationships... And a good health ! It was Christoff case with a wife very competent next to him.... and very good looking too!!!

I Am looking for... But I am afread in that recording about 1950/55 (perhaps) is sung in italian.!!! But the tonic accents are the same in russian as in italian. in that way is not too much disturbing , not at all.... could be said!
Any way you can hear the first prayer full of humility and full of semi voci as Christoff
knows how to do...
Sorry be patient. I know that registration is in live at the Roma Opera Theatre....

to Ufelan try to listen to Forza, I knew that great artist and listen to him, Its is very close to Christoff acoustic effect in theater...
Its a way to meet him through music.....

Why you never propose the first Dosifei prayer in that Khovanchina first act??? Its more interesting for my point of view... Moussorgski genius and Boris christoff singing help you to pray better.... It has been recoded in 78 to CD .... Try to hear...

I remember Maestro Christoff performing Dosifei at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino... I have never had best vocal and musical record since that date. It was in june 1973. The first act prayer is very interesting and must be posted! Thanks to Ufelan!
