Helmet camera clip of the last 450 meters of the mountain time trial/Giro d'Italia 2010. The camera, a Gopro HD, was mounted on the following motorcycle driver's helmet. The last kilometre is probably the steepest ridden in any bike race and takes about 5 mins to ascend. The music is Paolo Conte "Bartali"--a song in Italian about the Italian cycling icon Gino Bartali.
this must be Kronplatz

what gradient is that?

Camera was not mounted on driver's helmet. We see at 2:31 the camera operator climbs off the back of the moto and gets a thumbs up from the guy who was actually driving. Was the camera guy not using a conventional camera?

The best cycling video on the web.

This looks really steep. I have a climb like this not far from home. I only rode this once alone. Since then: Just with two friends.

Great editing! I love how the song crescendos right up until the moto stalls. The climb looks absolutely brutal. Thanks for the video.

amazing scenery :) love the song as well
i don't know about everyone else watching but i find it really interesting to see the racing from a pros point of view, and (with out sounding overly patronising) keep up to the good work :D

Fun to sea a time-trail like this with your camera.
It was a great stage.
By the way, Team Sky dress finally received! :)
