i'm not sure if i got it... is 20 min interval training 3 times a week enought, or do i need to do "more long duration exercises" (as you stated in1:28 in this vid) in the other days of the week?

@yelkaim Is there a rule of thumb for how much metabolism is raised after HIIT? Are we burning 10% more calories? 20%? How do you calculate it so you know how much food to eat.

im on one week of interval (fat loss), then one week building(muscle). Will this do good?

can my interval run be 50 second walk - 10 scond sprint?? or does it have to be a jog and sprint thing?? and how long should i space each section out?

For 4 years straight during high school lifting weights i got muscle but it's not where i wanted to be...i didn't want that look anymore so i stopped using weights and just using my body weights and saw better results by doing intervals and eating healthy

can you do this on a exercise bike because it's much easier to time

Do you recommend doing interval training and strength training(with weights as well as machines) on the same day, with 1 day rest between sessions?
Also, I am 16 year old guy 79kg and 1.83m.I do 30 seconds at 10km/h and 90 seconds at 7km/h on a treadmill?(about 4 reps and i cannot take it anymore)Do you think my interval training protocol is advisable?
so doing this interval training on days im not lifting, will help me lose fat??

walking up a mountain is amazing for fat loss! Throw a knapsack on or even use some light hand weights and watch the difference it will make.

would it be bad to do interval training every day?

I wouldn't recommend it simply because it's fairly taxing on not just your muscles but your nervous and adrenal system as well. Work in some light cardio in between if you want.
