I know in Guelph Ontario My boss wont call an interpreter because we have problem communicate.. He wont let me work with insert machine because I can't hear it.. that's not true.. I get frustrate......
Worked for Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento district Equal Employment Opportunity Office Saw no TTY or CC try to correct, I started ASL LUNCH and was harassed BY MY SUPERVISOR for attending. I knew a supervisor would not interview qualified deaf student I blew the whistle, in weeks I was fired. Told NAD lawyer about discrimination nothing was done. Im now in federal court no representation, Know that there are people standing up for the rights of the deaf community.
hello, i am hoh,i have a friend that had an experience before on the job like most of the time, when the company have a meeting with the employees they never call for an interpreter, how is he going to knw what is going on if there is no interpreter? and then he recently learned that his job has a program for the deaf but he has been working there for 8 yrs and they never informed him of it... So he sued over this and won his case.
