All too often we see chisau\gwohsau with little or NO resistance from the opponent. With this clip, my opponent is actually trying to hit me with power (not full power, but power and resistance to make an important difference in the exchange).

  • Hmm ... actually he is not trying to hit you. If you didn't block none of those hits would have tagged you at all.

  • @TaiChiWizardcom yes, that may be true to a certain extent because he was a new student. However, I told him to hit hard because part of the objective of this lesson was to improve his hitting...I can't be responsible if he felt the need to hold back. I'm sure in time he will improve.

  • Great stuff. You should try to film defense against horizantal fists and jabs as well,it would be great to see realistic defences against those.

  • @Svemocn1Vidar : I know where you are coming from, but if you can intercept direct punches, indirect punches is very easy. Also, in this clip, I was training David to increase the power of his jik kuen. Thanks for watching
